LCD screens are not prone to burn in. Phosphor based display such as Plasma TV are bound to burn-in which results in ghost of image burned on the screen.

LIFE TIME

The life time of LCD TV display is generally between 50,000 and 60,000 hours. The LCD TV display is reliable.

RESPONSE TIME

Although earlier there used to be blurred images during fast moving scenes due to slow response time but with improvement in technologies the problem has ended and response time has become faster.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

As far as consumption of power is concerned LCD TV's consume less power. LCD TV's consume 30 % less power as compared to plasma TV.

PRICE

LCD TV's are expensive as compared to Plasma HDTV's. The reason behind this price gap is that there is a larger production of plasma TV and hence the prices are lower.
