LCD TV
LCD TV or Liquid crystal display television makes use of LCD technology for producing images.
Earlier there were problems with displaying fast moving images and viewing angles were limited. The problem has been overcome in recent times and the technology is moving ahead.
Now let's see how this technology works. Liquid crystal solution is trapped between two sheets of polarized glass.
When electric current passes through the crystals the polarization of the light changes in response to the current passing through them as a consequences of which more or less light is able to pass through the glass on the display face.

POWER REQUIREMENTS
As far as consumption of power is concerned LCD TV's consume less power. LCD TV's consume 30 % less power as compared to plasma TV.
